Who I am
I’m Muhammad Haris Ansari, also published professionally as M. Haris Ansari. My work has developed across media, technology, and communications over more than fifteen years.
My professional experience has included media production, filmmaking, strategic communications, digital publishing, information architecture, and work with emerging digital and AI-assisted systems.
I was born in Lahore, Pakistan. Film, literature, music, photography, and the cultural environment around me shaped an early interest in visual storytelling and human expression. Over time, that creative interest became professional practice.
My work later extended across Lahore and Islamabad, bringing together creative production, institutional communication, digital environments, and increasingly systems-oriented questions.
From media to systems
I began professionally in media and production environments, contributing across direction, production, visual storytelling, and creative execution. Working in these environments taught me to think about communication not only as a message, but as a relationship between people, context, structure, medium, and intended action.
Digital publishing introduced another set of questions: how information is organized, how people discover it, what happens to context over time, and how different platforms influence what can be communicated.
As technology became increasingly embedded in communication work, my interests expanded toward information architecture, digital systems, artificial intelligence, and the structures through which people and machines encounter information.
I did not begin this work with one theory connecting all of these areas. The relationships became clearer retrospectively as recurring questions appeared across different forms of practice.
How I work
My creative work has generally been shaped by observation, visual structure, emotional precision, and attention to human expression. In filmmaking and media production, I have been interested in how sequence, image, sound, context, and narrative work together to create meaning.
In strategic and digital work, the same curiosity appears differently: how information is structured, how systems communicate, how different environments coordinate, and how complex ideas can remain understandable.
These areas now inform both my professional practice and a separate independent research program. The research itself is maintained outside this archive so that historical biography, professional evidence, and developing research claims remain clearly distinguishable.

Why this archive remains
Not everything written or created in the past should be rewritten to match the language of the present.
Earlier articles, observations, creative work, and personal reflections preserve something useful: how the thinking developed at different moments.
Some ideas here may therefore use terminology that has since changed. Some questions became more important. Some interpretations were refined. Others were abandoned.
That is why this site remains a Writing & Personal Archive. Its purpose is continuity, not canonical authority.
